Application Material Drop Off for University of Houston and Texas State University

University of Houston & Texas State University would like to invite students to attend their Application Materials Drop Off Event on November 2nd, 2016  from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. They will be hosting the event at Starbucks Coffee House (500 E. Ben White Blvd, Austin TX (I 35 & 71)). More information can be found below. 

Students are welcome to turn in Applications Fees or Fee Waivers, High School Transcripts, Test Scores, Resumes, Letters of Recommendation, or Essays during the event. Please keep in mind all documents turned in must be official. With the exception of an SAT or ACT print out, they will accept any materials as official given to them by a school official.  As a reminder, the University of Houston’s Scholarship deadline is November 15th, 2016.

Finding Engineering!

The Texas A&M University section of the Society of Women Engineers would like to invite high school students, parents, teachers and counselors to their 41st Annual High School Conference. It will be held Friday and Saturday, January 27-28, 2017 at the Texas A&M University campus in College Station, TX. The conference is open to all high school juniors and seniors interested in math, science, or engineering related fields. Registration opens Monday, October 10, 2016 and closes Monday, November 17, 2016. Click here for more details.

Round Rock ISD is hosting an all day event to support 2017 seniors and their parents in completing the free application for federal student aid (FAFSA) on Monday, October 24th from 8AM to 8PM at Round Rock High School.

Drop-ins are welcome, but you can make a thirty minute block appointment by going to

The FAFSA is for every 2017 senior. Completing the FAFSA gives students opportunities for campus based scholarships, work-study programs, Pell Grants, student loans and more.

Be sure to bring:
  • Valid ID (of student and parents)
  • Social Security Card (of student and parents)
  • Completed 2015 Taxes
