ADA Parent Night

When and Where: April 3rd @ 6pm in the Library Great Room

What: ADA Parent Night (students are encouraged to attend as well)

Students, if you receive services through Special Education or Section 504, you might be eligible to receive some services at college through the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.

This night will provide you and your family general knowledge on how to navigate the college system. A presenter from ACC will be here to discuss multiple topics including the laws behind the services, differences between high school and college application process, the importance of self advocacy, the parents role, instructional difference and free resources on campuses.

Even though the presenter is from ACC, most of the information is pretty similar for all colleges. This night would be a great way to get an introduction into the college world of ADA....a great starting point for the exciting journey ahead!

We look forward to see you and contact Mrs Browning if you have any questions.
