Reminder, this Wednesday, we will have a Teen Stressors Parent Night

Adolescence is a time of incredible change, and with change, comes stress and often anxiety. Transitioning back to school at the end of summer can mark a particularly difficult change as teens are confronted with many stressors at one time: academics; planning for the future; pressure from themselves, teachers, and parents; peer relationships; sports; and other extracurricular activities. Parents and guardians play a significant role in the lives of their teens, including helping them to learn skillful ways of approaching stress and anxiety.

Please join us with Lauren Garfield, LMFT to hear her present on Teen stressors and how we can support our students as they transition back to school.  Lauren Garfield, LMFT is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who is passionate about helping kids, teens, and young adults to decrease and manage anxiety, and supporting parents in building positive relationships with their children. She currently practices at Austin Anxiety and OCD Specialists.

When:  Wednesday, September 19th
Where: Westwood H.S. Library, enter through Main Entrance
Time:   6:30-7:30 p.m.
